A relationship brings together two individuals, each with their own experiences, feelings, boundaries and relationship with themselves. It is easy to forget that second part.
Within relationships we can become so focused on the other person, on meeting expectations or on keeping things steady, that we lose awareness of ourselves. Sometimes we look to a partner to reassure us, define us or give us a sense of connection that we have stopped feeling within.
Tantra asks a gentle question: what happens when we begin by reconnecting with ourselves?
When each person becomes more aware of their own feelings, breathing, boundaries and experience, new ways of being present with one another can emerge. Not because one person has fixed the other, but because both are more present.
The intention is not to become dependent on someone else for our sense of self, nor to lose our individuality within the relationship.
Meditation, conscious breathing and awareness can offer ways to explore presence, listening, boundaries and connection without demanding a particular outcome. I do not promise to repair relationships. I offer time and space for two people to be themselves, together.
