Tantra is sometimes misunderstood as being primarily about sex or sexual activity. I understand why. It is often how the word is used, and it is often the first thing people encounter.
Within my practice, something else sits at the centre: meditation, conscious breathing, awareness and reconnecting with yourself.
Touch may form part of certain experiences, and in Neo Tantra Massage it is full body touch. But it is always guided by the particular service that has been booked, by clear boundaries and by consent that is discussed beforehand and can be withdrawn at any time.
The body is not treated as something shameful, and natural responses are not met with judgement. Equally, they are not the purpose. The experience is not designed to provide sexual activity or fulfil sexual fantasies.
I say this not to sound defensive but because it shapes everything. If someone arrives looking for a particular outcome, they are once again living in expectation rather than experience. What I offer is the opposite: time and space to notice what is already here.
The intention is to reconnect with yourself, not to create an intimate relationship with the person guiding the experience.
That one sentence holds a great deal. It means the experience is about you, your breathing, your awareness and your relationship with your own body. It means you are free to arrive without any belief, expectation or desired result.
